Position Overview: Chicago Fire Football Club is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! The AP Specialist will report into the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and will be responsible for working closely with various departments to manage the accounts payable process from data entry to payment across multiple subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
Oversee Accounts Payable e-mail inbox and work with budget managers for proper coding
Review and enter AP invoices into accounting system
Process weekly payment batches through accounting system and bank portal
Manage and update vendor information for electronic payments and 1099 processing
Maintain files, including accounts payable documentation and other miscellaneous items
Code office corporate card in expense management system, review for proper supporting documentation and post to accounting system
Research and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors
Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required
Required Qualifications
1+ years’ experience with accounts payable
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain interdepartmental and interpersonal relationships
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to adapt to change, work and learn in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
Must display a strong work ethic and desire to build a career in professional sports
Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting
NetSuite general ledger software experience
Compensation:
This role offers an hourly rate of $23-$25 and is overtime eligible
Final salary is determined by carefully considering the applicant's background, experience, and qualifications. Base pay may vary significantly based on job-specific knowledge, skills, and overall experience. This role is classified as Full-time, non-exempt
This role is bonus eligible based on club-wide goals
