West High School & Dakota Meadows Middle School
 

Positions are available for Fall Sports Assistant Coaches with Mankato West Athletics beginning August 2025. These positions are for approximately 2 hours per day/5 days per week (after school).  

Fall sports:

• Boys/Girls Cross Country
• Football
• Boys/Girls Soccer
• Girls Swimming and Dive
• Girls Tennis
• Volleyball

Summary of Duties:

• Prepare successful practice and performance plans while encouraging student participation, establishing team rapport, and motivating participants to achieve maximum potential.
• Be an example of sportsmanship
• Maintain equipment and inventory of all equipment, including uniforms.
• Supervise all areas of participation, including but not limited to: gyms, fields, locker rooms, buses, pools, etc.
• Work collaboratively with other coaching staff, Activities Director, families, and community resources.
• Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations of the MSHSL.

Preferred Qualities: 
Previous participation and/or coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.

Qualifications Required:
Must meet MSHSL and Board guidelines
