Inter Miami CF is seeking a Manager of Broadcast Engineering to join our Broadcast and Event Presentation Department. This position will oversee all Broadcast and in-house preparation needs for visiting network productions, MLS/International Matches, and Special Events at both Chase Stadium AND Miami Freedom Park. The goal is to evolve and maintain the ongoing integration and set-up of Miami Freedom Park, while overseeing and executing private and sporting events at Chase Stadium.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as Broadcast Engineer for all Audio / Video equipment throughout all facilities, current and upcoming, such as: Chase Stadium, Training Center, Turf Fields and Miami Freedom Park.
  • Manage and Maintain Control Room Equipment through software updates and technical upgrades, keeping up with the demands and innovations between all venues.
  • Lead Matchday Technicians; includes all A/V Vendors, Frequency Coordinators, Broadcasting requests, Anthem Singers, etc.
  • Maintain Control Room Rack Room, Truck Compound I/O Panel + all JBT Boxes
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of technical systems including Shure wireless mics, QSC audio systems, and Blackmagic Design routers, switchers, and converters (Chase Stadium)
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of technical systems including Ross Switchers, Ross Tessera, Dream Catcher Replay, Evertz, XPression, Grass Valley Cameras, Shure wireless mics, QSC audio systems, Evertz Router, and fiber converters (Miami Freedom Park)
  • Improve and advance technical capabilities and workflows of broadcast operations and control room functionalities
  • Repair LED + IPTV Displays when needed
  • Act as main POC with TGI for maintenance, service agreements, refurbished parts, cleaning, etc.
  • Coordinate the set-up and breakdown of technical equipment
  • Request and track work orders for streams, transmissions and broadcast support
  • Fax check Patchbay Audio/Video Feeds for both Broadcast and In-house, Audio/Video Feeds for each Booth, Locker Room TVs, Suite TVs + Audio Controls, NW Club A/V, DJ setup + signal, Entry Gate Reads, Supporter Group Mics, etc. 
  • Create and file matchday technical recap reports, archive footage/exports, and handle asset management post-match/post-event
  • Assist with Technical Setup for Club video shoots as assigned
  • Work closely with different Departments and Organizations, both internal and external
  • Lead a team of direct reports
  • Work Stadium / Private Events as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Live Broadcast Production and Stadium Control Rooms.
  • Hands-on experience in live event production environments (sports, concerts, or corporate)
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • In-Depth understanding of 3G SDI, 6G SDI, 12G SDI, Single-mode Fiber, Encoders, Decoders, SRT and RTMP Streams, TriAx, 2110 IP Network Infrastructure, DANTE, Ross, Evertz, Grass Valley, all types of Video Signal / Feeds, SMPTE Systems, LED Systems Configurations + Playback, MAM and DAM
  • Willing to work long, and at times, consecutive days including weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must manage and control live production events under high-pressure situations
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented
  • Must be up to date with technological innovations and implement unique ways to execute needs with current/available resources
  • Spanish fluency preferred
  • Preferable experience with new stadium installation and integration
