Position: 
The Director, Broadcast Systems is part of the Marketing & Communications department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.
Position Summary:
MNUFC is looking for a Director, Broadcast Systems to serve as the technical point of contact and manage the production studio, control room system, IPTV system, broadcast system, and overall production workflow and integration at one of the premier soccer specific stadiums in the country, Allianz Field.

What You’ll Do:
  • Oversee technical operations for the production and podcast studio, control room and manage IPTV systems on daily basis. This includes building, loading, and scripting digital content within control room for match day presentation and within IPTV system to ensure proper sponsor integration and scripting
  • Manage staffing and scheduling of part-time production staff for all MNUFC match days, events, and non-MNUFC events, including Union relationships
  • Maintain, repair, and test all production equipment and infrastructure throughout Allianz Field by executing preventive maintenance schedules, technical training, while managing technical requirements relating to the broadcast control room’s video display and IPTV system
  • Set up and operation of cameras, intercom systems, audio systems, IPTV system and related control room equipment as well as the video storage server 
  • Handle day-to-day project management with vendors, contractors, and third-party entities that interface with the department for relevant capital projects
  • Assist with game presentation elements and enhancements to support the overall fan experience
What You’ll Bring:
  • At least 5-7 years of experience maintaining broadcast systems, production workflow, and event-production
  • Demonstrated knowledge of control room systems, broadcast facilities, and live production
  • Strong understanding of Networking, IP video encoding/decoding, Dante Audio over IP, and other common media network protocols such as multicast
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Previous experience managing staff and Union relationships required

Compensation & Benefits: 
Minnesota United FC values the contributions of our team members and is committed to transparency in our compensation practices. The compensation range for this role is $75,000 annually - $85,000 annually. We provide a competitive benefits package that includes health coverage, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and additional perks to support you both personally and professionally.
