JOB SUMMARY 
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC is a professional men’s soccer team competing in the USL Championship, the second tier of American soccer. The organization also includes the Pittsburgh Riveters SC, a new USL W League women’s team launched in 2025, and the nationally recognized Riverhounds Development Academy. All teams operate out of the AHN Montour Sports Complex and the picturesque Highmark Stadium, located in Station Square along Pittsburgh’s iconic skyline. As Sr. Director or Director of Ticketing, you will report to the Club President and the Club Owner.  The Director of Ticketing is a critical leadership role responsible for driving all ticket revenue and overseeing ticketing operations across the Riverhounds, Riveters, and Highmark Stadium events. This role leads a team of sales, service, and operations professionals in delivering a best-in-class ticketing experience, from initial sales outreach to game day support and season ticket holder engagement. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, data-driven leader who excels at developing strategy, motivating teams, and executing high-level campaigns that grow attendance, revenue, and fan loyalty. This position is ideal for a seasoned ticketing executive who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about growing events and the sport of soccer in Pittsburgh.
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
·        Lead all aspects of ticketing strategy and execution for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Pittsburgh Riveters, and Highmark Stadium events.
·        Develop and manage department goals and sales targets for full season, partial plan, group, premium, and individual game tickets.
·        Oversee the day-to-day performance and development of a multi-person team of ticket sales, service, and operations staff.
·        Create and implement innovative outbound sales campaigns, inbound marketing initiatives, and service strategies that drive customer acquisition and retention.
·        Manage all ticketing systems and platforms including Fevo, Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster Archtics, and TM1, ensuring optimal system performance and data integrity.
·        Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to create effective ticketing promotions and targeted campaigns.
·        Work cross-functionally with operations, event services, and finance teams to ensure seamless ticketing execution and revenue tracking.
·        Serve as a point of contact for high-level clients, premium buyers, and large groups, resolving escalated issues and delivering white-glove service.
·        Develop pricing strategies, inventory management plans, and reporting dashboards that drive profitability and maximize attendance.
·        Ensure superior customer service and responsiveness through proactive training and development of all front-line ticketing staff.
·        Lead game day ticket operations, including box office oversight, access control, resolution, and customer service.
·        Contribute to annual budget planning and monthly forecasting for ticket revenue and staffing.
·        Stay current with ticketing technology trends, sales methodologies, and best practices across the sports and entertainment industry.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
·       Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or similar preferred
·       4+ years’ experience related work experience, preferably in the sports/entertainment/hospitality industry
·       Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding ticket sales goals and revenue targets.
·       Deep familiarity with Ticketmaster products including Archtics and TM1, as well as digital ticketing platforms like Fevo.
·       Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team.
·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to outstanding customer service.
·       Proficiency in CRM systems, ticketing analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
·       Proven ability to develop pricing and revenue strategies based on market data and fan behavior insights.
·       Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic plan aimed at delivering growth in accordance with Club goals
·       Thrives in team environments with exceptional problem-solving, leadership and strategic thinking skills. 
·       Demonstrable leadership abilities in changing, ambiguous and challenging situations. 
·       Strong cross-functional project management and presentation skills. 
·       Writing and Presentation Skills Outstanding writing skills required and ability to create proposals and presentations. 
·       Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
