Position:
The Sporting Operations Associate is part of the Sporting Operations department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.
Position Summary:
The Sporting Operations Associate plays a flexible, support-driven role across various areas of the Club’s sporting operations. From helping execute logistics for visiting teams to coordinating supply runs and assisting with matchday setup, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on organization, and is ready to jump in wherever needed. You’ll work closely with both the first and second teams, and gain valuable experience in the inner workings of a professional sports environment.

What You’ll Do:
- Support drop-off logistics for first and second teams at hotels, including delivery of massage tables, credentials, and supply kits.
- Serve as a Visiting Team Liaison for in-market training sessions—often late afternoon, evening, or weekend hours—ensuring teams have what they need during their stay.
- Provide matchday support for MNUFC2 games, including meal pickup/receipt and general operational assistance, especially when matches occur off-site.
- Assist with transportation logistics as needed, including driving or co-piloting trips to/from the airport for First Team, MNUFC2, or Academy travel.
- Coordinate product pickups, including pallet-sized orders and other supply runs to support team needs.
- Support the upkeep and functionality of the Player Lounge, assisting with organization, stocking, and general maintenance alongside other internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with player care and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of services during events.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of MNUFC sporting operations, including assisting with special projects, cross-departmental needs, and last-minute problem-solving.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: Previous experience in sports operations or support services preferred.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work professionally with athletes, coaches, and Club staff.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Organization: Reliable and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow through on tasks independently.
- Problem Solving: Comfortable managing shifting priorities and responding to needs on the fly.

- Discretion: Trustworthy and respectful in working with confidential or sensitive team matters.
Job Requirements:
- Physical Readiness: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Schedule Flexibility: Must be available for nights, weekends, and potential travel support based on match calendars.
- Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; ability to drive a U-Haul or similar vehicle is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation range for this role is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (non-exempt).
