XPression Intern
Position Summary
The Game Presentation and Stadium Productions department is excited to welcome a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Game Presentation and Stadium Productions Intern. This immersive role offers a unique opportunity to work with the multiple departments that power in stadium entertainment for the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, and major third-party events.
As an intern you will have one main area of focus:
- Content Creation
- Ross XPression
- Technical Control Room Production
Also, you will experience working directly with the Video Production, Motion Graphics, and Control Room teams to develop content for the Halo Board and executing a variety of control room positions on event days.
This is a part-time, hourly paid position, with up to 30 hours per week. The position will last one year. Please note that housing, relocation expenses, and benefits are not provided.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist production staff in developing graphics and video content for the execution of the in-game show for all events at Mercedes-Benz including but not limited to Atlanta Falcons Football, Atlanta United FC MLS Soccer, and more
- Assist production staff in operating a variety of control room equipment for the in-game show for all events at Mercedes-Benz including but not limited to Atlanta Falcons Football, Atlanta United FC MLS Soccer, and Atlanta United 2
- Conduct fact checking, research and art/video consistency for their respective projects
- Communicate with programmers, producers, managers, and other members of staff to ensure a smooth running of the project
- Produce and edit video content that adhere to company guidelines and standards
- Assist as needed in all components of the production, including control room, sound, lighting, camera, editing and post-production
- Perform other duties as requested by staff to ensure all necessary tasks are performed in a proficient manner that adheres to the quality expected from the company.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required (graduation within the past year preferred)
- Experience in professional or collegiate sports environments is highly desired
- Good technical knowledge of broadcast video/graphics
- Proficiency in video editing and motion graphics
- Availability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays, as needed
- Ability to multitask and manage various projects and the goals of multiple departments
- Ability to adapt to ever changing requests, design edits and/or revisions
- Able to take direction and produce an approved finished product in a timely manner
- Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
