Job Description:
Southern Boone High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated Assistant Boys Soccer Coach to support the head coach in all aspects of the boys soccer program. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field and is committed to fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game strategies
• Provide instruction on fundamental soccer skills and techniques
• Support player development, conditioning, and performance improvement
• Help supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive team culture
• Assist with game-day responsibilities, including setup, communication, and sideline support
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and MSHSAA policies and guidelines

Qualifications:

• Prior soccer playing or coaching experience preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, staff, and students
• Commitment to student-athlete development, academics, and safety
• Availability for practices and games throughout the season

Preferred:

• Previous coaching experience at the high school or youth level
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of MSHSAA rules and regulations
