Job Summary

Skyridge Middle School is seeking enthusiastic, structured, and inspirational leaders to guide our Boys Soccer program. Middle school athletics represent a foundational period in a student-athlete's life. We are looking for coaches who are passionate about teaching soccer, but who are equally dedicated to building a culture of integrity, teamwork, and academic accountability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of soccer tactics and training methodologies, combined with the patience, communication skills, and energy required to mentor middle-school-aged boys. Our goal is to cultivate a competitive, disciplined, and highly supportive environment where young men can develop their athletic skills, build confidence, and learn lifelong character values.

Duties

• Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of the team.
• Conduct regular practices, ensuring that all athletes receive appropriate instruction and feedback.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
• Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills.
• Manage behavior effectively during practices and competitions, employing behavior management techniques as necessary.
• Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and expectations.
• Organize competitions and events, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
• Stay current with trends in sports coaching, physical education, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a comprehensive athletic program.

Experience

• Previous experience coaching soccer.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and motivate athletes of all ages.
• First Aid/CPR card required or obtained upon hire.
