Position Overview

Rise FC’s Performance Department is seeking a dynamic Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our team on a seasonal full-time basis until December 13, 2026 with a strong understanding of elite women’s football. The ideal candidate combines a solid foundation in sport science with practical, real-world application and demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

This role is responsible for delivering on-field physical preparation, return-to-play and match top-up sessions, supporting strength and conditioning programming, and contributing to sport science initiatives across the club.

Working closely with the Head of Performance, medical, and technical staff, the successful candidate will help uphold high-performance standards in both training and competition while maintaining clear communication and accurate documentation across performance and academy environments.

We are looking for a team-first practitioner who demonstrates humility, curiosity, and a strong commitment to continuous learning within a high-performance setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of Return-to-Play (RTP) and match top-up sessions. 
  • Assist in collection of physical testing and monitoring initiatives across the performance department. 
  • Contribute to sport science initiatives aimed at improving player performance and availability.  
  • Assist with daily team and individual activation.  
  • Assist with individual and team gym-based S&C sessions – including set up, session organization, and training logistics. 
  • Support the delivery of goalkeeper speed and power programming in coordination with technical staff. 
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation and reporting of physical performance data, RTP progressions, and training notes. 
  • Coordinate with academy performance coach to ensure alignment in programming and physical development principles from first team.  
  • Other duties may be assigned. 


Key Competencies

  • Ability to deliver high-quality on-field physical preparation sessions. 
  • Strong understanding of exercise physiology and sport science principles. 
  • Strong understanding of injury mechanisms, physical development, and training principles.  
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sport Science, or related field. 
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent 
  • Experience working within high-performance sport environments 


Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree in Sport Science or a related field, experience in elite soccer environments, a background as a high-level soccer player, and familiarity with athlete monitoring technologies such as GPS, force plates, and strength testing systems.
