Associate Head Coach, Women's Soccer/Admin Coord & Recruiter/Assistant Director for Compliance & Internal Operations

The Associate Head Coach, Administrative Coordinator & Recruiter supports the Head Coach for women's soccer. In that role, the Associate Head Coach/Administrative Coordinator & Recruiter is responsible for performance analysis and skill development as well as performing administrative duties and assisting with recruiting. This position will also help to operate a program for student-athletes, with differing abilities and skills, and serve as a role model in meeting our complimentary goals in Athletics of "Pursuing Athletic Excellence…Developing Christian Character." The Assistant Director for Compliance and Internal Operations assists the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Internal Operations with NCAA compliance monitoring and game day/event management.
Primary Duties: Associate Head Coach Analyze performance and instruct athletes in skills, techniques and strategies in preparation for competition and during contests. Hold significant responsibilities in the coordination of general administrative duties (including budgeting, game scheduling, travel plans, meeting requests for information, hiring of officials, and business procedures). Communicate with the athletic trainer, athletics communication director, facilities assignor, and department administrators. With the head Coach plan, organize, implement, and evaluate prospective student-athletes. Plan and execute all on campus recruiting activities. Give support to the scouting and strategic objectives of the women's soccer team. Assist the Associate/Assistant Athletics Directors in matters for which he/she is responsible including ordering and inventorying of equipment, and maintenance and use of facilities for contests and practices. Adhere to and follow all rules and guidelines of Messiah University, Middle Atlantic Conference and the NCAA. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance. Assistant Director for Compliance & Internal Operations Other duties as assigned. Assist the Assistant Director of Athletics for Internal Operations Director with NCAA compliance oversight and implementation. Assist with completing the annual reports for the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) and NCAA Sponsorship and Demographic form. Management of facility Private Seat Licenses (PSLs) (e.g., Shoemaker Field, Hitchcock Arena) and Online Ticketing System. Game Management supervision and serve as NCAA post-season tournament director.
Qualifications
Education Required: BS/BA in appropriate field Experience Required: 5 years coaching and/or playing experience Experience Preferred: Experience with athletics recruiting and administration preferred Skills & Characteristics Required: Ability to coach, teach and train student-athletes in skills and strategies specific to their sport Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the stages of student development and the importance of holistic education Ability to establish appropriate and effective mentoring relationships with student-athletes Ability to be a supportive team player within the Athletics Department and Messiah University Ability to communicate effectively A working knowledge of computer programs and systems Demonstrated commitment to continued learning/professional development (i.e., attend conferences, clinics, workshops) Special Working Conditions : Expected to work weekends and evenings as needed
