NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ. The Role:
The Associate Manager of Growth & Retention will ensure that we actively reach new fans and engage our current fans. Core to the role will be using - and encouraging others - to make data-driven decision-making in our marketing. The ideal candidate for this role is both creative and data-driven, executing on key engagement channels while also playing a key role in reporting on the success (or opportunities) of our marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities:
● Support our team’s key growth goals around single game ticket sales, group sales lead generation, and season ticket sales.
● Structure, manage, and optimize our email and SMS program, blending manual sends with automated content that is personalized and relevant to specific segments.
● Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Team to actively manage the our key segments in our CRM and ensure they are accurate and getting tailored communications.
● Develop new lead generation tactics and a suggested testing roadmap (e.g. tactics like pop-ups, online forms, giveaways, etc.).
● Own CMS updates, planning, and optimizations to our website, ensuring our site is accurate, functional, brand-aligned, and driving YoY growth for our ticketing goals.
● Build a roadmap of AB tests across our marketing channels; share results and how the learnings can be applied.
● Strengthen our marketing tracking program, building UTMs and using tools like Google Analytics and Tableau to report on the fan journey.
● Own weekly marketing reporting on email, site, SMS, and other digital channels that highlights learnings and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree or equitable experiences/certifications.
● Experience using data analysis software.
● Highly organized and detail-oriented.
● Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
● Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to review and distill complex data and insights to inform business decisions.
Capability & Other Characteristics:
● Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
● Basic understanding of SEO, SEM, and email marketing best practices.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
● Working knowledge of HTML and design and email software.
● Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Location:
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. As this role is temporary, we are open to the possibility of a fully remote position; however, being in market in the NYC/NJ Metro area to be in office a few days a week with the rest of the team is ideal.

Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually
