Emmanuel University is offering one-year Graduate Assistantships in the Athletic Department. The program will provide students the opportunity to gain real-world experience with intercollegiate sports, while earning a master’s degree in Exercise Science, Business, Strategic Communication, Elementary Education, Arts and Teaching, Divinity, or Ministry.

Graduate Assistantship

Our Masters programs are one-year long, along with the Graduate Assistant position. The start date for the summer semester is May 11th, 2026. The start date for the fall semester is August 12th, 2026.

Duties of team sport graduate assistants include:

Conduct programs in accordance with the NCAA regulations, Conference Carolinas guidelines, and within the philosophy of Emmanuel University.

Provide a positive atmosphere that promotes a sense of fairness, organization, commitment, motivation, accomplishment, and fun.

Accept responsibility for the behavior of the team during practices, contests, and any other team related activities.

Teach, assist, and instruct aspects of strength and conditioning.

Teach, assist, and instruct aspects of nutrition.

Teach, assist, and instruct aspects of player development.

Teach, assist, and instruct aspects of achieving high academic performance.

All other duties as assigned by the head coach

Duties of non-team sport graduate assistants include:

Provide and contribute to a positive atmosphere that promotes a sense of fairness, organization, commitment, motivation, accomplishment, and fun.

Assist in executing sports information duties including but not limited to stats, table operations, filming, writing articles, updating the athletic website, and management of social media platforms (if applicable)

Assist in executing general administrative and game day management functions of the athletic department (if applicable)

Assist in executing compliance responsibilities including but not limited to eligibility, NLI/financial agreement processing, compliance software manage and functions (if applicable)

Assist in executing athletic training coverage and responsibilities as assigned by the athletic training staff (If applicable).

All other duties as assigned the Vice President of Athletics and Associate Athletic Administrator
