Athletics Specialist - Camp Counselor

Monticello, New York, Camp Kennybrook is seeking counselors for Basketball, Tennis, Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse and Archery.

Camp Kennybrook, a premier summer camp nestled in the picturesque Catskill Mountains, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Athletics Specialists. If you have a strong background in athletics, a love for the outdoors, and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of campers, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

- Instruct and supervise campers in various sports, ensuring safety and skill development.

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

- Collaborate with fellow counselors and camp leadership to create a well-rounded and exciting camp experience.

- Act as a role model for campers, promoting values such as respect, responsibility, and resilience.

- Participate in all camp activities, including meals, evening programs, and special events.

At least one year of college

Previous experience coaching or playing in basketball, tennis, hockey, soccer, lacrosse or archery is a plus

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Energetic, enthusiastic, and patient demeanor when working with children

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  Room and board included, laundry, one day off per week, 5 nights off per week. Transport on days off and nights off. Opportunities for professional and personal development
