Brookside High School is seeking a creative, energetic, and player-focused new leader for our Boys Soccer program! This is a unique opportunity to lead a program with a solid returning core while shaping and developing players across all experience levels. The position offers the chance to build something meaningful - where competitive success and player growth go hand in hand. The ideal candidate will be passionate about player development, committed to building a positive team culture, and skilled at balancing competitive success with inclusive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and implement all aspects of the boys soccer program
- Collaborate closely with our Strength & Conditioning Coach to develop year-round performance plans, offseason training, and in-season programs.
- Develop a comprehensive and creative coaching philosophy focused on skill development, sportsmanship, and academic achievement.
- Organize practices, conditioning sessions, film study, and game preparation.
- Build positive relationships with players, families, administrators, and the community.
- Work in cooperation with all of our Varsity coaches to support multi-sport student-athletes in their growth throughout their high school careers.
Qualifications
- Previous high school soccer coaching experience preferred (assistant or head coach).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
- Knowledge of soccer rules and techniques.
- Creativity in developing strategies based on roster makeup and oppositional tendencies.

- Current Pupil Activity Permit
- Current BCI/FBI Background Check
- Fundamentals of Coaching
- Sports First Aid
- CPR/AED
- Concussion in Sports
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest
- Student Mental Health Training
