Boys Soccer Head Coach (High School)

Position Description: The Boys Soccer Head Coach supports the district mission by:

• Coaching and developing players on the varsity team
• Overseeing the JV team and helping the coach develop skills and preparing the athletes for varsity
• Communicating with players and families consistently on schedules, changes in practices, concerns, etc.
• Working to build a relationship with the community club soccer teams
• Building a positive environment that allows students an opportunity to have fun while learning both soccer skills as well as life skills
• Managing the boys' soccer budget and communicating with the ASB advisor regularly
• Fundraising for additional equipment or needs not supplied by the athletic department
• Communication with the athletic secretary daily during the season through email or by phone
• Other duties as assigned

Terms of Employment: March 1, 2027 � April 30, 2027

• Must be available for available for practices and games each weekday and some Saturdays during the season
• Current CPR/First-Aid card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
• Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and background checks including fingerprinting a the applicant's expense

Salary Range: $4,233 - $5,598, depending on experience

Benefits: Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington state law.  Upon working 630 hours in a school year, eligible employees may be eligible for insurance benefits through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) which includes, medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 21 years of age or older
• Experience playing soccer at the High School level or beyond
• Experience coaching soccer at the High School level

Preferred Qualifications: Experience playing soccer or coaching soccer at the collegiate level
