As a member of the Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer staff, you will play an important role in supporting our mission, representing the organization with professionalism, and contributing to an environment where players, families, coaches, and staff can thrive. We are excited to announce an opening for the College Advisory Program Director position.

The College Advisory Program (CAP) Director is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive college preparation and recruitment program for Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer players in grades 7–12. 

This role provides individualized support for players and families, strengthens collaboration with coaches and staff, and helps grow the CAP program across the Club and the broader soccer community.

Key Responsibilities

Player & Family Advising

Lead team meetings for grades 12–7 to introduce the Club, the CAP, and outline timelines.

Conduct individual consultations with players and families to assess goals, finances, and recruiting interest.

Maintain detailed player college/recruiting files and communication records.

Manage opt-out waivers for players not participating in the CAP.

Recruitment Support

Assist players with outreach to college coaches.

Build personalized recruiting packages (transcripts, evaluations, media).

Coordinate showcase/tournament outreach and college coach engagement.

Organize college-level training sessions with Q&A components.

Education & Resources

Provide ongoing updates on NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA recruiting rules.

Support academic progress tracking and standardized test prep.

Coordinate guest speakers (nutrition, sports psychology, financial literacy, admissions).

Facilitate community service and internship opportunities.

Collaboration & Communication

Maintain regular contact with the CAP Committee, coaches, players, and parents.

Attend games/training sessions (minimum one per team/month for grades 9–12).

Support coaches in researching colleges and promoting players.

Coordinate PR efforts with the Communications Director and external partners

Learn and utilize all Club technology platforms and software suites for communication, content creation, presentation, data gathering, etc.

Program Development

Build college contact databases and leverage staff networks.

Develop an internal Advisory Panel of professionals to support CAP goals.

Explore vendor partnerships and fundraising to sustain the program.

Assist with club-wide events as directed.

Reporting & Compensation

Reports to the College Program Director Advisor.

Compensation is in the $45,000-$65,000 range a a moving stipend would be considered.

Annual compensation and the opportunity to participate in a benefits program and retirement plan.

Subject to bi-monthly performance evaluations and annual program review.
