Community Impact Assistant – Atlanta United FC

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • With guidance from Community Impact Team, assist in planning and executing all Atlanta United Community Impact (CI) programs and volunteer initiatives including but not limited to pediatric illness platform, Special Olympics Unified trainings and match(es), Atlanta United Youth Soccer programming and Atlanta United Community Fund activations
  • Support CI team with preparation of events/activations including but not limited to, communication, budgets, inventory, vendor relationships, event/group research, and document procurement
  • Management of the Sharepoint, CI Inbox, CI calendar, CI social media tracker, CI contacts database, communications tracker, KPI tracker, Photoshelter, Formsite, and photo/video requests and archives
  • Lead event communication and organization with community stakeholders including but not limited to meetings, run of show(s), presentation deck(s), detailed note taking, RSVP confirmations, and post-event logistics
  • Handle fulfillment of Atlanta United donation requests and distribution of department giveaway requests via DonationX
  • Oversee volunteer communication and task assignments before, during and after event execution
  • Meticulously organize, maintain and track all CI inventory
  • Matchday support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management/Administration, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations/Communications, or similar
  • Event planning, hospitality, and/or customer service experience are preferred
  • Must have superior organization skills and be detail-oriented
  • Must have excellent time management and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able and willing to drive personal vehicle to and from work/events/site-visits
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Suite applications especially Outlook and SharePoint
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Basic knowledge of MLS and the sport of soccer is preferred
  • Position will run from January 2026 until December 2026
