Minnesota United FC (MNUFC) is a professional soccer club competing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier of soccer in North America. As a club driven by passion and community, we operate under the oversight of the U.S. Soccer Federation, a member of FIFA. Our headquarters are in Golden Valley, MN, with soccer operations based at the MNUFC Training Center in Blaine. On matchdays, we call Allianz Field in St. Paul home—one of the premier soccer-specific stadiums in the country.




Position:

The Development Program Administrator is part of the Youth Development Program department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.

 

Position Summary:

As the Development Program Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of MNUFC Academy teams. From managing registration and rosters to coordinating travel and meals, you’ll handle the logistical and administrative details that keep players focused on their growth and performance. Acting as a key liaison between development leadership, sporting operations, and MLS Next, you’ll help foster a positive, professional, and supportive environment for players and their families. This is a full-time position based primarily in Blaine, MN.

What You’ll Do:

Administrative Support:

  • Handle player registration processes for MLS Next and other competitions, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed records, including rosters, waivers, and insurance documents.
  • Set up and manage schedules using TeamSnap, ensuring clarity and accessibility for players, parents, and staff.
  • Support the management of program budgets, tracking expenses, and preparing reports.
  • Communicate key information to families, players, and staff regarding schedules, travel, and events.

Travel & Logistics Coordination:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating all team travel, including transportation, accommodation, and meals.
  • Create comprehensive itineraries for trips, ensuring all details are accounted for and shared with players, families, and staff.
  • Help manage operational needs for home and away games, including securing facilities, referees, and other logistical elements.

Competition & Program Support:

  • Work with leadership to maintain an annual competition calendar, including training, travel, and recovery schedules.
  • Coordinate with opponents to finalize match details and ensure all requirements are met.
  • Schedule and confirm referees for friendly matches, processing payments accurately.

Supportive Partner to Leadership:

  • Collaborate closely with leadership to execute and enhance player care initiatives, including onboarding and homestay programs.
  • Provide updates and regular communication to ensure smooth coordination across all areas of the youth development program.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in sports administration or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with leadership, players, and families
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and scheduling tools
  • A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • A positive attitude that reflects the spirit and values of MNUFC
  • Ability to handle diverse projects, maintain attention to detail, and build strong relationships with players, families, and staff

 

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policies and guidelines
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and the occasional holiday
  • This role requires 20% travel

 

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with the professional soccer landscape preferred
  • Ability to speak in other languages is a plus
  • Familiarity with SafeSport preferred

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Minnesota United FC values the contributions of our team members and is committed to transparency in our compensation practices. The compensation range for this full-time (exempt) role is $48,000 - $55,000 annually, with the final offer based on experience and qualifications.
