Colorado Springs, Colorado, Pride Soccer Club, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Director of Goalkeeping to lead and further develop our club. The Director will oversee the training and development of goalkeepers across our various Competitive platforms, including the ECNL national and regional levels.
The Director of Goalkeeping position requires a level of expertise, commensurate with the needs of our program. Our chosen Director will work independently and within a collaborative and accountable Staff structure, to design curriculum objectives and content that compliments our club's vision and game model. The Director of Goalkeeping will work alongside Senior Directors of Coaching and age group directors.
The role includes managing and overseeing a staff of coaches and goalkeeper trainers to deliver high-level sessions and provide cohesion throughout our player pathway. This position, as with others within our club, requires strong interpersonal skills, communication via different mediums and organization. It also requires conviction and clear leadership credentials. The role also includes evaluating goalkeepers and providing feedback, both in person and via film.
The Goalkeeper Director will work with Staff, coaches, players and parents in a professional and organized manner to uphold the values of Pride Soccer Club and to improve the level of play of our goalkeepers and teams accordingly.
In addition to our year-round competitive programs, Pride operates a WPSL team and has close relationships with other local organizations, including the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, winners of the USL Championship in 2024. Qualifications:
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience coaching youth goalkeepers in a club setting.
Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma or similar
Ability to demonstrate techniques while coaching on the field.
Ability to work in both an office environment and on the field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred:
USSF Licensing where applicable.
Collegiate and or professional playing background.
Prior experience as a Director of Coaching at the youth level.
