Lexington Sporting Club is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Foundation & Partnerships Intern to support the club’s community impact and corporate partnership efforts throughout the season. This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit support, event coordination, sponsor fulfillment, and gameday activation within a professional sports environment.

Working closely with Foundation and Partnerships staff, the intern will assist with administrative tasks, event preparation, partner activation support, and metric tracking that advance the club’s community and business objectives.

This internship term is for Summer 2026 (May-August) with the potential to extend into the 2026-2027 academic year. 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with administrative support for the organization’s 501(c)(3) Foundation, including database updates, donor tracking, and correspondence
  • Support planning and execution of fundraising events, including logistics coordination and auction item procurement
  • Assist with gameday activations tied to Foundation and partnership initiatives
  • Support collection and reporting of metrics for sponsored and Foundation-related activations
  • Support tracking of partnership deliverables and fulfillment items
  • Assist with installation and setup of sponsored signage as assigned
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, ticketing, and operations, to support community and partnership initiatives
  • Provide general administrative and event support to Foundation and Partnerships staff as needed

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Current college student pursuing Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple departments and supporting several projects at once
  • Interest in community engagement, sponsorship fulfillment, events, or nonprofit operations
  • Reliable and comfortable working in both office and live event environments
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for gamedays and events

Work Environment

  • Professional office setting within a fast-paced sports organization
  • Occasional matchday responsibilities, high-energy setting during events, often with large crowds, exposure to loud noise levels from fans, music, and stadium announcements
  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of equipment (up to 25 pounds)
  • Indoor and outdoor work locations depending on location (weather exposure may apply)
  • Team-oriented atmosphere with frequent interaction with customers and coworkers
  • Required to maintain a clean, professional appearance
  • Event-based scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
