About Haunted Shadows Lake Trail
Haunted Shadows Lake Trail is located on an overgrown tract of trees and native grasses on the property of TOCA’s The Colony location, along the shores of Lake Lewisville in The Colony, Texas.
The Trail operates Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from September 30 through November 1.
Friday & Saturday: 7:30 PM – Midnight
Sunday: 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM
TOCA The Colony is located at 7801 North Main (Highway 423), 3.3 miles north of Highway 121.

Position Overview
Do you love Halloween, scary movies, haunted houses, or dressing up in Halloween costumes? Do you enjoy creating memorable experiences and working in a high-energy environment?
As a Trail Manager for Haunted Shadows Lake Trail, you will play a key leadership role in the nightly operation of the trail. Trail Managers act as assistant directors and are responsible for helping ensure a smooth, safe, and entertaining experience for both cast members and guests.
This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, reliable, comfortable working outdoors, and excited to be part of a Halloween attraction.
Role Scope & Responsibilities
Trail Operations & Leadership
- Check in all actors each evening before the trail opens.
- Ensure all actors are at their assigned locations and understand their responsibilities.
- Oversee the overall flow and performance of the trail throughout the night.
- Monitor actor performance and guest behavior to maintain a high-quality, safe, and engaging experience.
- Provide support, direction, and coaching to cast members and staff throughout operational hours.
- Assist leadership with resolving operational issues and maintaining a smooth guest experience.
- Help ensure the trail remains organized and operational throughout the evening.
Qualifications & Experience
- High energy and enthusiasm for Halloween and haunted attractions.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong commitment to scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work Friday and Saturday evenings and Sundays during the event season.
- Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide direction to cast members and staff.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Previous leadership, event, entertainment, or customer service experience preferred.
- Most importantly, a genuine love for Halloween, scary things, and creating memorable guest experiences.
