Head Coaching Grass Roots Director - Vale Sports Club

Vale SC is currently seeking a Grass Roots Director to join our staff.  Vale SC in partnership with Cheshire Soccer Club is a 50 year old club in Central Connecticut with over 1,500 players from ages 4 to our Men's and Women's Teams. Vale SC is seeking coaching staff that are willing to learn and join our competent network of coaches who are interested in developing under our methodology and curriculum. 

Vale SC is looking for a Grass Roots Director to build a curriculum, coach, and manage our Grass Roots Programs in several locations.  This Director will run weekly clinics and training sessions for players ages 4 to 9.

The schedule will be 5 days a week, roughly 2 to 3 hours a day in the evenings.

Key Responsibilities -Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate training sessions aligned with Vale Sports Club curriculum and philosophy

- High-energy individual looking to develop players at very young ages

-Communicate clearly and professionally with players and families while upholding club standards and values

-Support player development through consistent feedback, evaluation, and mentorship

-Work collaboratively with Directors and fellow coaches to ensure consistency across age groups

-Promote a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture

  Preferred Qualifications

-Coaching experience and a proven ability to develop players in these age groups-Positive coaching style that is in line with our core values

-Strong leadership and communication skills

-Minimum USSF Grassroots for U7-U12 Academy and/or USSF “D” License. (will work with candidate to complete within 12 months)

-Preferred educational background in pre-k to 1st grade children 

-Ability to work effectively as part of a team alongside other coaches
