Job Title: High School Girls Soccer
Location: Soap Lake School District
Reports To: Athletic Director / High School Principal
Employment Type: Seasonal / Stipend Position
Job Summary:
The High School girls soccer coach is responsible for leading and managing the girls soccer program at Soap Lake High School. The coach will promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and the development of student-athletes both on and off the field. This includes planning practices, coaching games, ensuring student eligibility, and fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead practices, workouts, and games in alignment with school and WIAA guidelines.
- Supervise student-athletes during all team activities.
- Promote academic achievement and monitor student eligibility.
- Maintain communication with parents, school staff, and administration.
- Attend all parent meetings arranged by the district
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members.
- Maintain equipment and inventory.
- Run a kids camp to build excitement in your program
- Examines locker rooms before and after practice and games, checking on general cleanliness of facility
- Responsible for the set up and tear down of of game day equipment and facilities
- Instills in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care and proper use
- Assist athletic director in scheduling, providing transportation and requirements for regular season, tournaments or special sport events
- Fundraising- includes concessions, gate, scoreboard and others
- Through knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the Soap Lake School board and is responsible for their implementation by the entire staff of the sports program
- Uphold and model high standards of conduct and sportsmanship.
- Follow district, league, and WIAA rules and policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and safety practices.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and relate to high school students.
- Must meet WIAA and district coaching requirements (including First Aid/CPR, concussion training, etc.).
- Must pass a background check and be approved by the district
.This position is not benefit eligible unless 630 hours is anticipated/reached in the school year
