Summary
Melrose High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our track program as the Head Coach. This part-time position requires a strong commitment to fostering athletic excellence, promoting teamwork, and developing the skills of student-athletes. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and motivator, capable of creating a positive and inclusive environment that encourages personal and athletic growth.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances individual and team performance.
- Plan and conduct regular practices, ensuring a focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Organize and manage all aspects of the girls soccer program, including scheduling practices and games, coordinating transportation, and overseeing team logistics.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and a love for the game.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team progress, expectations, and any relevant issues.
- Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and ensure compliance with school and league eligibility requirements.
- Collaborate with other coaches and athletic staff to promote the overall success of the athletic program.
- Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with best practices in coaching and player development.
- Act as a role model for student-athletes, demonstrating sportsmanship, integrity, and a commitment to the values of Melrose High School.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level or higher.
- Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate practice and game schedules.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all team members.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for youth sports and a desire to contribute positively to the student-athlete experience.
