Position Overview: 

The IT/AV Support Specialist will report directly to the Manager of Information Technology. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily upkeep of the Chicago Fire Endeavor Health Performance Center IT and audio-visual needs with additional focus on providing support on event and match days.  The IT/AV Support Specialist is responsible for technical support for PC/Mac hardware, software and AV technology. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tech support for all audio-visual components of the club
  • Tech support for client workstations, applications, and phones for Chicago Fire staff as needed
  • Troubleshoot problems with network, peripheral and end-point devices
  • Assist with event/match execution; responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Pre-event/match planning and set-up of equipment, audio visual, broadcast, internet connections, etc
    • Assist with technology needs and issues during event.
    • Post-event tear-down and cleanup
  • Complete projects supporting the execution plan of the IT Department
  • Manage facility security platform ensuring physical access is properly controlled
  • Perform administrative duties including data backups, inventory, documentation, research and development of new IT initiatives
  • Support Cyber Security initiatives
  • Attend and work all Chicago Fire matches and key events
  • Some travel to various offices and events is required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • 2 years of hands-on experience in a relevant technical or support role
  • Proficient in a range of audio-visual platforms and technologies
  • Experienced with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure environments
  • Strong working knowledge of macOS systems and workflows
  • Well organized, deadline orientated and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Must be able to lift and transport heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers, monitors, and peripherals
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, and a positive attitude
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively work with a large and diverse population
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings. This includes all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and holidays

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • Previous experience with Extron, Crestron and Q-Sys
  • Experience with Kandji MDM experience a plus
  • Previously worked in a fast-paced or start-up environment

 

Compensation:

  • This role offers a salary range of $55,000 - $60,000
  • Final salary is determined by carefully considering the applicant's background, experience, and qualifications. Base pay may vary significantly based on, job-specific knowledge, skills, and overall experience. This role is classified as Full-time, exempt
  • This role is bonus eligible based on club-wide goals
