Junior Varsity Soccer Coach

Job description:

We are seeking a JV Varsity Boys Soccer Coach to lead our High School Program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching, sports education, and working with student-athletes. This role involves developing players' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. Previous experience in sports coaching is highly valued.

Responsibilities

-Plan and conduct soccer practices and training sessions tailored to various skill levels

-Teach fundamental soccer techniques, rules, and strategies to players

-Foster a supportive and motivating environment to enhance player development

-Monitor player behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies

-Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities

-Organize and oversee game day activities, including team warm-ups and game strategies

-Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create an engaging program

-Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitude among participants

Requirements

-Prior experience in sports coaching

-Knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and safety standards

-Experience working with children or students in a sports or educational setting

-Skills in behavior management to maintain discipline during practices and games

-Strong communication skills to effectively engage with student-athletes and coaches

-Ability to motivate young athletes and foster a positive team environment

-CPR Certification is desirable
