Position Description
U.S. Soccer is seeking a creative, passionate, and organized content professional to lead editorial coverage of the Open Cup, the nation’s longest-running soccer competition. The Open Cup Writer and Producer will serve as the primary editorial lead for all Open Cup storytelling, overseeing and producing written coverage across U.S. Soccer’s digital platforms and coordinating closely with internal stakeholders to shape and elevate the tournament’s narrative.
This role will work cross-functionally with the Social Media, Video, Content Strategy & Planning, Marketing, Corporate Communications and other teams to ensure cohesive and impactful storytelling across both internal and external platforms. The right candidate will be a skilled writer with a sharp editorial sense, strong organizational skills, creative storytelling approach and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, event-based environments.
This position will require travel to Open Cup games, as well as availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the tournament schedule.
