POSITION SUMMARY

In this part-time role, you will assist the Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapists at RBNY in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation of all RBII players. Additionally, you will assist the Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapists in the implementation of injury reduction screening protocols and the delivery of their individual programs.

Job Description

Provide on field medical coverage during RB2 training sessions and matches as assigned.

Assist with the assessment of new injuries on the field of play and in the treatment room.

Initiate communication chain of initial findings to athletic trainers and physical therapists, and when appropriate communicate findings to coaching staff, fitness staff, and team physician.

Assist in the creation and execution of short, medium and long term rehabilitation plans for players as assigned.

Assist in the development and delivery of individualized injury reduction measures within the RB2 setting.

Assist in the creation and execution of end stage rehab testing and assist performance staff with execution of return to play programming when appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Athletic Training

NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer

Strong communications skills

Experience with evaluation and treatment of lower extremity injury

Flexible schedule for both weekday and weekend coverage

The ability to regularly lift up to 75lbs, in addition to being physically capable of performing general athletic training duties

Additional Information

Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, you may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.

The hourly rate for this position is $20/ hour. The hourly rate is subject to change and may be modified.
