OVERVIEW

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. LAFC is invested in the world’s game and Los Angeles, constructing, and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Matchday Operations Crew is responsible for operational support as it relates to Los Angeles Football Club soccer matches and a multitude of other soccer matches hosted at BMO Stadium. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of locker rooms, bench setup, field signage, team equipment, and other match day related items for all LAFC, LAFC2, and additional international/friendly soccer matches.   
  • Assist with visiting teams and officials on match day requests. 
  • Assist with on-field fan pre-/post-game activations and experiences. 
  • Coordinate and manage ball retrievers for the duration of each match. 
  • Troubleshoot, effectively communicate, and problem-solve any team or field related issues as it pertains to the match.  
  • Ensure all match equipment and supplies are in proper working order. Maintain organized storage and equipment spaces. 
  • Participate in pre-match day preparation and set-ups.  
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree or current college student preferred. 
  • Prior experience working in sports, operations, live events, or entertainment preferred, but not required 
  • Knowledge of soccer and experience working at professional soccer matches is a plus. 
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays required. 
  • Multi-tasker with strong organizational skills to problem solve and prioritize tasks in an efficient manner.  
  • Ability to be detail oriented, meet tight deadlines, and function in an unstructured, fast-paced environment.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English – both verbally and in writing. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. 
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time unassisted. 
  • Proficient in Spanish, French, and/or Portuguese is a plus. 

SALARY RANGE 

At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the compensation for this role is $23.25 per hour.
