Job Highlights:
Reports To: Manager, Payroll & Benefits
Location: Remote (Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX Required)
Compensation: Competitive salary with annual bonus eligibility
Hours & Availability: Full-Time

Position Overview:
At TOCA Soccer, the People  team is focused on what people need and how to provide it. We’re searching for a qualified and resourceful Payroll Specialist to support our department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations, that welcomes change and approaches their role from a customer service perspective and fosters a positive culture along the way.  The Payroll Specialist will assist with semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll processes and general support. Duties include (but not limited to): Partnering with the Manager, Payroll & Benefits in the timely and accurate delivery of teammate’s semi-monthly paychecks. Additionally, this role will support the Manager, Payroll & Benefits  in developing payroll & benefits  initiatives, processes and infrastructure.

Education and Experience: 
  • 3 years proven work experience in payroll processing and compliance reporting
  • Associates Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • FPC or CPP a plus
  • Experience with Paycor is a plus
  • Job Responsibilities:
Payroll:
  • Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple company entities
  • Process Canadian payroll, ensuring compliance with final pay and time-off regulations
  • Partner with center/venue leadership to collect and validate timekeeping data each pay period
  • Enter and process tips, bonuses, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions accurately and on time
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate employee data processing
  • Prepare and maintain payroll records, reports, and documentation
  • Identify and recommend improvements to payroll procedures and workflows
  • Support the Manager, Payroll & Benefits in developing efficient payroll processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and wage & hour laws and regulations
  • Process wage verifications, garnishments, and child support orders in accordance with legal requirements
  • Stay current on payroll legislation and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical, numbers-oriented mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of federal and multi-state labor laws
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll and labor laws is preferred
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Google Workspace is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solid understanding of payroll procedures
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and be coached​
