The Chicago Fire Football Club (Chicago Fire FC) is an American professional soccer club that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top U.S. domestic league. Founded on October 8, 1997, on the 126th anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire, the Club began play in 1998 as one of the League’s first expansion franchises. The Fire have won six major domestic titles, including the 1998 MLS Cup; the 1998, 2000, 2003, and 2006 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cups; as well as the 2003 MLS Supporters’ Shield.
 
The Club recently announced plans to build a $750M+ privately financed downtown stadium in Chicago in 2028. Position Overview: 
Chicago Fire Football Club is seeking a dedicated Programs Assistant to join our team! The Programs Assistant will work closely with the CFRS staff on a wide variety of tasks/projects (responsibilities are detailed below). The Programs Assistant will be involved in aspects of running adult rec soccer leagues, facility operations, and program development. The majority of the day-to-day focus will be on the successful running of CFRS programs, including managing leagues, tournaments, pickups, and social events.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Attend to the needs of CFRS customers while at the Endeavor Health Fire Pitch
  • Assist CFRS with the development of new soccer programming.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale facility events.
  • Occasionally run pickups (7am, noon, and or night)
  • Serve as a Manager on Duty at CFRS facilities and partner facilities across the Chicagoland Area
  • Provide excellent and attentive customer service to all Chicago Fire Football Club customers
  • Serve as support to CFRS events such as tournaments and satellite leagues
  • Organize and maintain CFRS equipment
  • Completion of other duties as assigned
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Passion for the game of soccer, including in-depth knowledge of the MLS, rules, and culture.
  • Ability to commit to a consistent monthly schedule
  • Conversational Spanish language fluency preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of soccer rules and CFRS rules and policies
  • Ability to commute to different program locations through the Chicagoland area
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Compensation:
  • This role offers an hourly rate of $16.60
  • This role is classified as Part-Time, non-exempt
