Position Title: Middle School Boys Soccer Coach
Location: Regional School District No. 7, Northwestern Regional Middle School
Start Date: 2026 Fall Season
Position Summary
Regional School District No. 7 is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Middle School Boys Soccer Coach to lead our student-athletes in a competitive and supportive environment. The successful candidate will promote teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and a positive athletic experience for all players.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise all practices, games, and team activities for the Middle School Boys Soccer program. Focus on skill development and team strategy.
- Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices, games, and team events.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school administration, and athletic department staff.
- Ensure compliance with all school, district, and CIAC rules and expectations.
- Coordinate equipment needs, uniform distribution, and facility use.
- Maintain safe play at all times.
- Model and reinforce positive sportsmanship and respectful conduct at all times.
- Attend required coaches' meetings, trainings, and professional development as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Prior coaching experience or significant soccer knowledge
- Ability to work effectively with middle school students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Successful completion of required background checks
Preferred:
- Previous coaching experience at the middle school or high school level
- Experience working in a school setting
- CIAC coaching certification (or willingness to complete)
