NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ. The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking a Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy & Operations who will report to the Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations. This role will operate at the center of the business, interfacing with all members of the executive team, helping shape commercial strategy, lead cross-functional initiatives, and execute high-impact projects that drive revenue growth.
This position is ideal for candidates coming from strategy consulting, business operations, or high-growth environments who are excited about building the future of a rapidly scaling sports organization. This individual must have a passion for women’s sports and/or soccer, ability to work non-traditional hours, and live in the NYC metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy
- Serve as a strategic partner across key commercial priorities including ticketing, partnerships, marketing, and fan growth.
- Support development of weekly, monthly and quarterly business reporting, synthesizing commercial performance, key insights, and strategic initiatives for executive leadership and ownership.
- Help coordinate the club’s quarterly objective-setting process, aligning cross-functional leadership on strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Support the development of annual and long-term strategic plans, helping identify growth opportunities and key investments.
- Conduct strategic analysis and develop recommendations to support major business decisions.
- Support Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations on ad hoc special projects and serve as owner of subset of key initiatives.
Commercial Operations
- Lead weekly commercial go-to-market planning meetings, ensuring alignment across ticketing, partnerships, marketing, and other revenue-generating or supporting teams.
- Analyze key commercial performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Help implement processes and tools that enable the commercial organization to improve ways of working and scale effectively.
Qualifications:
- 4–7 years of experience in strategy consulting, business operations, corporate strategy, or high-growth environments.
- Experience structuring ambiguous problems and developing actionable insights.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations and strategic materials.
- Experience influencing ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead initiatives that drive operational improvements and organizational change.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Location:
This role will work at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey. There is an expectation of three in-person days, with the ability to be on location more depending on project needs. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Job type: 12-month contract with a strong opportunity to convert to a full-time position based on performance and organizational needs.
Salary range: Between $95,000 and 120,000 annually, depending on experience.
