Position Description
The Senior Manager of Executive & Member Communications supports and executes enterprise-wide communications strategies in close partnership with the Vice President and Senior Director of Corporate Communications. This role is responsible for supporting and executing both internal and external communications initiatives for the Offices of the President and CEO and provides dedicated support to engage, inform, and align U.S. Soccer’s Federation membership. The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven communicator with experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and aligning messaging across internal teams and external audiences. Areas of focus include executive communications, member engagement, and cross-functional coordination that reflect U.S. Soccer’s strategic priorities and mission.
This role oversees the development of executive briefing materials, talking points, background documents, and presentations for public appearances, media engagements, and internal leadership communications. This role also reviews and maintains the executive communications calendar, ensuring timely and strategic support for internal events—such as quarterly town halls—and external functions, including board meetings, conventions, and public-facing appearances.
This position collaborates closely with departments across U.S. Soccer—particularly the Participation and Environments team—to craft and deliver clear, consistent, and timely communications to U.S. Soccer’s 116 Organization Members and broader stakeholder groups, including referees, coaches, and youth leaders and ensure these diverse audiences remain informed and engaged with leadership messaging and important initiative across the soccer ecosystem.
Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, the ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences, and a commitment to ensuring that U.S. Soccer’s internal communications infrastructure and external messaging are aligned and mission-driven.
