We are hiring a senior soccer correspondent based in the US to enhance our coverage of the US national and domestic teams (both men’s and women’s) and help bring our coverage of Premier League and European football to new audiences. These hires are part of a significant expansion of the Guardian’s coverage of soccer in and for the US. The ideal candidates will be hungry to produce great journalism in multiple formats, and have experience doing so.

Salary range: $119,000-$125,000
About the role
You will be responsible for supplying engaging soccer news, features and analysis for the Guardian, serving US and global audiences. The work will involve covering the US men’s and/or women’s national teams, Major League Soccer, the National Women’s Soccer League, and the global game for US audiences.
