The Academy of Central Florida is a nationally recognized private school and sports academy dedicated to developing student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally. Our soccer program has won back-to-back NACA National Championships in 2024 and 2025 and advanced to the 2026 UPSL Division 1 Quarterfinals.

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and well-connected soccer coach to join our staff as a Varsity Assistant Coach and Academy Head Coach/Recruiter.

Position Overview

This is a combined coaching and recruiting position. The selected candidate will assist with our varsity soccer program while serving as the head coach of an Academy team. The coach will also play a major role in identifying, evaluating, and recruiting talented student-athletes from the United States and internationally.

The ideal candidate has a proven coaching background, a strong soccer network, excellent communication skills, and experience recruiting players for competitive academy, high school, college, or professional programs.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist the Varsity Head Coach with training sessions, game preparation, tactical planning, player evaluations, and team operations.

Serve as the Head Coach of an assigned Academy soccer team.

Design and lead high-level, organized, and development-focused training sessions.

Recruit qualified domestic and international student-athletes to enroll at The Academy of Central Florida.

Build relationships with players, families, clubs, coaches, international scouts, schools, and soccer organizations.

Evaluate prospective players through live games, showcases, video footage, tryouts, and recommendations.

Communicate the Academy’s educational, athletic, boarding, and college-placement opportunities to prospective families.

Assist players with individual development plans and college recruitment.

Maintain consistent communication with current players, families, and Academy leadership.

Promote discipline, accountability, academic progress, sportsmanship, and a professional team culture.

Represent The Academy of Central Florida professionally at practices, matches, showcases, tournaments, and recruiting events.

Assist with operations of the program, fields, club, etc.

Assist with social media content, program promotion, and player exposure when needed. Qualifications

Previous coaching experience at the competitive academy, high school, college, semi-professional, or professional level.

Demonstrated experience identifying and recruiting soccer players.

Strong domestic or international recruiting network.

Excellent understanding of player development, tactics, technical training, and match preparation.

Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work effectively with student-athletes from different countries and cultural backgrounds.

Ability to communicate professionally with parents and prospective families.

Willingness to work tournaments, showcases, and travel dates as required.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass all required background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

College or professional playing or coaching experience.

Existing relationships with soccer clubs, academies, international scouts, schools, or international recruiting organizations.

Experience assisting players with college placement and exposure.

Coaching licenses or certifications from US Soccer, United Soccer Coaches, UEFA, CONMEBOL, or another recognized organization.

Experience working with international student-athletes.

  Compensation ranges from $18,000 to $30,000 for a part-time position, based on experience, qualifications, and assigned responsibilities. The position also includes opportunities to earn additional income through player recruitment commissions and participation in revenue-generating programs such as camps, showcases, tournaments, and other Academy events.
