TITLE: Academy Coach

WHAT SETS YOU APART
The Academy Coach is responsible for supporting the academy team in both player and team development and the day-to-day operations of an Academy Team. The coach will assist with the team, including supporting training practices and games. The successful candidate will report to the Academy Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach or assist on the assigned age group.
Attend training, league games, tournaments, and scheduled events.
Manage and coach all exhibitions, regular season, playoff, tournaments, international, and other matches while ensuring player development, club principles, and a competitive mentality.
Conduct and organize preparation for all matches, including developing game strategies, team meetings, and scouting opposing teams.
Implement the club methodology, effective practice, and game plans through the Academy Curriculum, style of play, and periodization under the supervision of the Academy Methodology Lead.
Use session planning tools and video platforms to ensure that all relevant player data is recorded.
Enforces team rules and league rules applicable to players and coaching staff.
Assist and support coaches in the general control, management, and conduct of Academy players, ensuring adherence to the Academy Code of Conduct.
Manage off-season player development programs for the team.
Assists in the scouting and evaluation of potential players for the team.
Assist with other age groups with training and game day when needed.
Create Individual and Group Training sessions for the Pre-Formation and/or Formation Phase based on technical and tactical components of club positional profiles and club actions.
Create Individual and specific training sessions for High Potential Players.
Create And Implement IDP Curriculum with Training Methodology, Data App, and Video Analysis from Training/Games.
Create Individual Learning Plans (ILP) for High-Potential Players.
Introduce Age-Appropriate Individual Development Training for U11-U18 Players.
Introduce Individual and Small Unit Work during Team Training Sessions.
Support with the day-to-day video analysis needs for MLS Next teams.
Work with the coaching staff for the day-to-day video needs as it relates to training, pre-match, during, and post-match analysis.
Work with the coaching staff for day-to-day video needs as it relates to player development.
Create video opposition reports as requested by the coaching staff.
Attend Orlando City Pre-Formation and/or Formation Meetings.
Other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

USSF ‘B’ or ‘C’ License or Equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in elite soccer.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Positive influencer, comfortable with leading dynamic change.
Ability to attain and maintain SafeSport certification.
The ability to pass a background screening.
Must be able to work long hours, weekends, and some holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
USSF A License
Bilingual (Spanish/English) or multi-lingual fluency
Experience, familiarity, and network within OCSC Territory is strongly preferred.
