Dubuque Soccer Club is seeking a Technical Director to lead the club’s soccer vision, elevate coaching standards, and shape the player development experience across the organization. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated leader to build systems, mentor coaches, and have a lasting impact on a growing, community-centered club.

Dubuque Soccer Club is committed to developing players and people through the game. The club provides a positive, player-centered environment where athletes can grow, compete, and develop a lifelong love of soccer.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and implement a club-wide player development pathway and training standards

Recruit, mentor, and evaluate coaches while delivering ongoing education

Establish consistency across teams, age groups, and coaching environments

Oversee tryouts, player placement, and seasonal planning processes

Build and manage systems that improve communication, alignment, and efficiency

Foster a strong, positive club culture aligned with player development and community values

Required:

USSF “C” License (minimum)

Experience in a leadership role within a youth soccer club or similar environment

Demonstrated ability to develop coaches and build training environments

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Preferred:

USSF “B” or “A” License, CTL 1 License

Experience designing player development pathways and curriculum

Experience managing tryouts and club-wide programming

In addition to base salary, the Technical Director will have the opportunity to generate supplemental income through club-supported programming such as camps, clinics, and player development initiatives, with shared revenue structures aligned to program growth and impact.
