Overview
The Columbus Crew Academy Pre-formation Manager leads the day to day development and management of the Academy's Pre-formation age groups (U11-U14). This position oversees the Academy Affiliate and Crew Network programs and will continue to position the Columbus Crew as a leader and resource to assist with meeting the needs of both soccer players and clubs. This will accelerate the goals of developing 1st team players for Columbus Crew and to grow the game in Ohio and its region.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the Columbus Crew Pre-formation age groups.
- Serve as a member of the Academy Management Team.
- Manage the Academy Affiliate and Club Network program.
- Develop and deliver a vast array of age appropriate educational programming, including Club Network.
- Create a holistic and welcoming environment.
- Execution of Academy Vision and Strategy.
Technical Competencies
- Understanding of age appropriate player development.
- Dissemination of club methods and Pre-formation technical curriculum throughout the program.
- Ability to prioritize the individual (players and staff).
- Deliver the educational program including development, coaching and staff training.
- Understanding of MLS Player Development Guidelines.

Requirements
- Wide experience working in the Pre-formation (youth soccer) space.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A high level of administrative experience.
- Preferred college degree in Education or Business Administration.
- Vast knowledge and experience in the local and regional landscape.
