What you will do:

We are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for supporting daily Accounts Payable processes including but not limited to invoice processing, handling issues and coordinating research of discrepancies.

The ideal candidate must be detail oriented with great organizational skills and close follow up.   The candidate will work closely with vendors and internal customers to resolve Accounts Payable related issues and need to have good communication skills. We are looking for an energetic individual that is able to work self-sufficiently and could evaluate and recommend changes to Accounts Payable policies and procedures to streamline processes and enhance automation. 

The position is located at our Headquarters in Stoughton, MA with a hybrid office option and will report to the Assistant Controller.

IN MORE DETAIL, YOU WILL:

  • Process approximately 400-600 invoices per month including coding and approval verification
  • Manage and prioritize invoices to ensure they are paid timely and accurately
  • Process checks and multiple electronic payments on a weekly basis
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Reconcile A/P sub ledger to General ledger
  • Produce monthly reports and assist with month end close
  • Maintain accounts payable files
  • Participate in special accounting projects
  • Other duties as assigned

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 3-5 years of Accounts Payable or General Accounting experience

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE/ESSENTIAL TO THE ROLE:

  • Accounting skills
  • Strong analytical and math skills
  • Excellent computer user skills using Word and Excel required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and juggle between daily, weekly, monthly demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to process improvements and the ability to think "out of the box" i.e. creative approach to problem solving
  • Infor Enterprise Financials and Powerlink experience are desirable

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Interact regularly and follow up with internal and external parties based on direction of management, presents information for decision making to manager, and the ability to independently follow up on pending item and to manage their own daily tasks and projects as assigned by management.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not supervise employees.
