Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC have been Pittsburgh's premier professional soccer team since its inception in 1999, and play in the United Soccer League, one of the largest and fastest growing professional soccer organizations in North America. The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC are seeking part-time Assistant Merchandise Manager who is interested in working with team merchandise and creating enjoyable customer experiences within a professional sports setting. In addition, with the introduction of the Pittsburgh Riveters SC, Pittsburgh's premier women's soccer team, we are in need of Merchandise Team Members to assist with game day and in-office retail initiatives for 2026.

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC are seeking part-time Assistant Merchandise Manager who is interested in working with team merchandise and creating enjoyable customer experiences within a professional sports setting. In addition, with the introduction of the Pittsburgh Riveters SC, Pittsburgh's premier women's soccer team, we are in need of Merchandise Team Members to assist with game day and in-office retail initiatives for 2026.
We are looking for assistance within our Merchandise Team to work closely with the Director of Merchandise to assist customers and maintain merchandise standards during Riverhounds home games, Riveters home games (2026) and off-site events (i.e. Academy Tournaments, Pop-Ups, Jersey Launches, Meet the Team). This is an hourly position and in addition to game day, would require added responsibilities at Highmark stadium during regular business hours, various retail pop-up locations and/or others events at our various facilities as available.

Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Answer questions about merchandise, sizing, availability, and team information.
- Offer personalized recommendations and suggestions based on customer needs and preferences.
- Assist customers with returns and exchanges, following company policies and procedures.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and strive to find solutions that ensure satisfaction.
- Create a positive and engaging shopping experience for all customers.
Merchandise:
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
- Supply design and style ideas to Director / Assist in development of merchandise
- Restock shelves and displays to ensure product availability.
- Keep merchandise clean and organize product as needed.
- Assist with special promotions and displays as needed.
Sales and Cashiering:
- Operate the register accurately and efficiently, processing customer transactions.
- Upsell and cross-sell relevant merchandise to increase sales.
- Promote current promotions and discounts to customers.
- Collect and process payments by credit/debit cards.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Additional Responsibilities:
- As needed, work in office environment to assist with online order fulfillment, product development, retail prep, promotions, and various retail initiatives.
- Represent the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Qualifications:
- Retail and or apparel experience is a huge plus!
- Ability to work multiple Riverhounds Home Games and/or Riveters Games and various shifts at other locations, weekday in-office work as needed.
- Polite, positive, outgoing, self-starter who can learn quick and work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong work ethic
- Team player able to handle a variety of tasks
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Creative - willing to present ideas and assist in designing apparel and promotional products.
