    Middle School Boys Soccer Coach (Grades 5�8)
    Location: Chester Academy
    Season Dates: August 25, 2026 � Last Week of October 2026 (Monday�Friday)
    Potential for Saturday Championship Game

    Chester Academy is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individual to serve as the Middle School Boys Soccer Coach for students in grades 5�8. The successful candidate will support the educational mission of the school while fostering a positive team culture that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, character, and student growth. The coach will provide leadership both on and off the field and serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.

    Key Responsibilities

    Coaching & Player Development

    • Plan and lead practices focused on skill development, conditioning, teamwork, and game strategy.
    • Teach soccer fundamentals, rules, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.

    Game Management

    • Coach and supervise the team during games and competitions.
    • Develop game plans, make in-game adjustments, and manage playing time appropriately.

    Leadership & Mentorship

    • Responsible for leading the soccer program and supporting the athletic, personal, and academic growth of student-athletes. Compensation will be provided in accordance with the district's coaching stipend schedule.
    • Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
    • Promote responsibility, respect, perseverance, accountability, and sportsmanship.

    Safety & Supervision

    • Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during all team activities.
    • Monitor and report injuries according to school procedures.
    • Assist with the care and management of team equipment.

    Communication

    • Maintain professional communication with the Athletic Director, families, and student-athletes.
    • Share schedules, expectations, and team updates in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with school staff to support student success.

     

    Qualifications

    • Previous soccer coaching experience is preferred.
    • Knowledge of middle school soccer fundamentals, rules, and player development.
    • Familiarity with NHIAA, Tri-County, and/or other applicable league regulations preferred.
    • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with middle school students and families.
    • CPR/AED Certification, Heat Illness Prevention, Concussion in Sports, Signs of Suicide, and Signs of Abuse training (or willingness to obtain).
    • Successful completion of a criminal background check and fingerprinting process.
