Job Description:
The Commercial Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in the expansion and growth of Fort Lauderdale United's sponsorship portfolio. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, securing, and managing sponsorship opportunities across various sports clubs and partners within our network. The role requires a strong blend of sales expertise, relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of both the sports industry and the local business landscape.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and is passionate about sports and fostering long-term business relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Identify and secure new sponsors and local partners across various categories.
- Develop tailored sponsorship proposals that align with each potential partner’s goals and objectives.
- Negotiate terms and close sponsorship deals that are mutually beneficial for Fort Lauderdale United and its partners.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with sponsors, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Network within the local community and broader sports industry to expand partnership opportunities.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of sponsors, ensuring exceptional service and maximum visibility.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to activate and fulfill all sponsorship agreements.
- Track sponsor engagement and ensure all deliverables are met on time and to standard.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sponsorship targets.
- Represent Fort Lauderdale United at industry events, community engagements, and networking functions to elevate brand presence.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, sponsorships, or commercial partnerships within the sports, entertainment, or media industries.
- Proven track record of successfully securing sponsorships and managing high-value partnerships.
