NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ. The Role: The Director of Growth Marketing will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of initiatives to drive revenue and ticket sales across the club, with a sharp focus on single-game tickets, as well as seasons & groups. This role is responsible for accelerating ticket sales and expanding the fan base through data-driven, full-funnel marketing strategies. This leader will own performance marketing and growth efforts, partnering cross-functionally with the ticketing, business strategy & analytics, content, and brand teams to deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead paid media strategy and performance across social, search, display, and emerging platforms, driving efficient revenue growth and measurable incrementality
  • Manage and allocate media budgets across channels based on performance and business priorities
  • Optimize campaigns to drive ticket sales, lead generation, and fan acquisition at efficient CAC / ROAS 
  • Own relationships with external media agencies, ensuring strategic alignment, transparent reporting, and continuous performance improvement tied to ticketing outcomes
  • Partner closely with the Ticketing & Business Strategy & Analytics teams to align media strategy and Ticketing Plans (Priority matches, offers, inventory, etc) 
  • Build scalable, automated fan journeys that move fans from awareness to first purchase, repeat purchase, and long-term loyalty in partnership with Ticketing & BS&A
  • Translate insights into action, adjusting media channel mix, pacing, messaging, offers, or other tactics and match prioritization based on performance 
  • Own single-game offer roadmap, partnering with Ticketing & Business Analytics to align strategy against goals. Work cross-functionally with content, design & brand teams to bring offers to life as needed 
  • Define & report on core KPIs, including CPA, ticket revenue, total ticket volume, ROAS 
  • Collaborate with Content & Creative to develop high-performing assets
  • Work with Partnerships to integrate sponsors into growth campaigns
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or a related field 
  • 7+ years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing within a consumer-facing industry 
  • Proven experience managing paid media budgets with a strong track record of driving measurable growth and revenue outcomes
  • Deep understanding of paid media strategy, attribution, and performance measurement
  • Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional stakeholders 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into strategy 
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with ambitious goals 
  • Comfort building roadmaps and playbooks from scratch
  • Strong understanding of or direct experience in ticketing, sports, entertainment, or live event ecosystems is a strong plus 
  • A passion for storytelling, fan engagement, and growing women’s sports 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

Location: 

Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary.  A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise.Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Sports Illustrated Stadium.
