Director, Licensed Merchandise
This position will champion and grow the reach of the Carolina Ascent FC and Charlotte Independence brands in our community, in our stadium, at retail outlets and through our corporate partners.  The Director will lead the licensed merchandise procurement, marketing, sales and delivery efforts for the organization’s sports properties.
 
MERCHANDISE SALES
The Director will continue to develop a robust licensed merchandise business that will include assortment planning, merchandise designs, vendor management, procurement, on-line sales store management, retail sales and stadium sales. The Director will staff the stadium sales personnel and work with necessary vendors to execute a user-friendly at-stadium and on-line store experience.
 
The position requires the following skills and management capabilities;
1.    Ability to thoroughly plan, create, procure, promote, deliver and execute a robust licensed merchandise program including but not limited to assortment planning, vendor relationship management, designing, ordering, inventory management, pricing, on-line store execution, at-stadium execution and reporting/record keeping. 
2.    Ability to ccmplete and submit USL League reports in an accurate and on-time manner.
3.    Ability to take advantage of off-site sales opportunities such as youth club events and other sponsored events.
4.    Ability to understand and meet the needs of internal customers and external partners and provide the communication and resources they need in a timely manner.
5.    Ability to understand the Brands, their promises, their attributes and how to consistently present the Brands appropriately for licensed merchandise designs and sales.
6.    Ability to work collaboratively, effectively manage assigned employees, and to take direction and execute accordingly.
 
Administrative Duties (some in collaboration with Director of Marketing & Communications)
1.    Provide necessary merchandise sales reporting for League and COO & CFO of teams.
2.    Maintain merchandise inventory tracking documents for precise understanding of inventory usage and on-hand inventory.
3.    Over see the pick pack and shipping of on-line sales merchandise in a timely manner.
4.    Manage assigned budgets responsibly.
5.    Hire and manage Part Time event staff to ensure reliable and customer friendly labor.
6.    All other duties as assigned by COO or Managing Partner.

Minimum Work Hours Requirement
1.    Flex hours on non-game, weekdays. May work 7AM-4PM, 8AM-5PM, 9AM-6PM, including hour lunch break.
2.    Gameday hours will start as required to execute the event effectively and vary depending on game start times and execution requirements.
3.    May be asked to attend and support additional events and projects as needed.
4.    When planning to work out of the office during normal office hours, schedule to be provided to direct supervisor.
5.    It is expected that employee will schedule other activities around company staff meetings, games, regularly scheduled event planning meetings and one-on-one meetings with supervisor.
