    Central Catholic Jr/Sr. High School:
    Central Catholic Jr./Sr. High School, established in 1957, is a Roman Catholic Jr./Sr. High School, grades 7-12, serving the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana. Central Catholic is an A-rated school by the Indiana Department of Education and has over 450 students. Central Catholic graduates 100% of its students and has over 90% move on to college. In addition to its academic accolades, Central Catholic also has a long tradition of excellence in athletics. Each year, over 90% of Central Catholic students are formed in character and faith through their participation in Athletics. This dedication to faith, patience, perseverance, respect, diligence, and integrity has led to 21 state championships and many more conference, regional, and semi-state titles. 

    Central Catholic is part of the Lafayette Catholic School System (LCSS). LCSS is a four-campus, pre-K through 12 system that provides a Christ-centered education to students in the Tippecanoe County, Indiana area. More than 1000 students are enrolled systemwide. The four schools that are part of LCSS are St. Mary Cathedral (pre-K to 3), St. Boniface (4 to 6), St. Lawrence (pre-K to 6), and Central Catholic Jr./Senior High School (7 to 12).

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Be an appropriate role model for student-athletes, parents, families, LCC staff, opponents, and the community
    • Foster initiative, self-discipline, teamwork, loyalty, courage, leadership, and the commitment to excellence in Lafayette Central Catholic High School athletes
    • Work cooperatively and develop rapport with administration, teachers, coaching staff, players, and the community.
    • Comply with all aspects of the coaching handbook
    • Organize, direct, and supervise assistant coaches
    • Work with other coaches to facilitate multi-sport athletes
    • Use sound proven methods of coaching and display knowledge and innovation in sport
    • Clearly communicate with the individual/team about goals, performance, and progress
    • Develop and maintain a competitive environment
    • Instruct individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved
    • Organize, plan, and schedule a regular program of practice in and out of season.
    • Organize and implement a summer developmental program
    • Organize, plan, and schedule a summer youth camp for grades K-8
    • Maintain an accurate roster and verify the academic and athletic eligibility of athletes
    • Assist the Athletic Director in planning contests, special events, etc.
    • Communicate and work with medical personnel and parents involving injuries to athletes.
    • Maintain accurate statistics, records, and results of the season
    • Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual athletes
    • Maintain competency in rules, rule interpretations, meet procedures, coaching techniques, and general information about all aspects of the sport, IHSAA and Hoosier Conference
    • Comply with pre-season, in-season, and post-season expectations set forth by the Athletic Director or outlined in the coaching handbook
    • Recommend the purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms, and submit in a timely manner
    • Keep accurate records and inventory of all equipment and uniforms
    • Develop a consistent and positive public communications procedure through the School and media to inform the parents and the general public about the athletic program
    • Exhibit acceptable personal conduct and appearance before, during, and after the game
    • Attend clinics when possible
    • Participate actively in other athletic, professional, and school activities.

    LICENSE:  Valid Indiana Teaching License, preferred but not required.
