    POSITION SUMMARY
    Head Girls Soccer Coach

     

    This person will work closely with assistant coaches and develop their plan.  They will also be in charge of running their own aspects of practice given the skill they are put in charge of.  Another aspect of their duties will be to supervise students until they have been picked up from practice and/or meets.

     

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

     
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • CPR certification- Can be completed upon hire
    • Prior coaching experience
    • Title IX training- Can be completed upon hire
    • Mandatory Reporter Training- Can be completed upon hire
    • Bilingual skills – Spanish & English desired
     


    SKILL REQUIREMENTS

     
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Good problem-solving ability; good judgement
    • Ability to interact appropriately with children of different ages
    • Experience coaching youth sports desired
       
     


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon building assignments and other factors.

     
    • Further the Mission of Salida del Sol Academy
    • Knowledge and skills sufficient to perform all duties of the position.
    • Ensure that all interested players have submitted a registration packet (including up-to-date physical) BEFORE they begin practicing.
    • Communicate with Parents and athletes about practice times.
    • Create and communicate with parents and athletes about expectations, both on and off the playing field/court (i.e., consequences for missing practices or not following school code of conduct, failure to maintain required GPA, etc.)
    • Communicate game schedule and information to parents and athletes as much in advance as possible (communicate with Athletic Director to acquire schedules and information)?.
    • Create 
    • Prefers leadership situations relating to meeting the social, emotional, psychological and academic needs of students.
    • Prefers a work environment where flexibility, ability to deal with conflict, a high tolerance for stress, an ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions, and long hours are a part of the assignment
    • Organizing and supervising game help
    • Assists with supervision at activities
    • Attend all events 
     

    Work Environment/ Physical Demands: 

     
    • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, numerous distractions, visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity important.  Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
     

     

     


    Beginning pay $1,300 per season
