THE POSITION
Reporting organizationally to the FIFA Mexico Senior Manager, the Volunteer Manager - Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, will help serve Volunteer efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026. This role will be responsible for supporting larger country volunteer program objectives and driving the end-2-end volunteer journey at a Host City level in in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, with a planning and operational focus on engagement, recruitment, training, scheduling and Tournament delivery phases alongside the overarching management of the volunteer experience. The main responsibilities of the Host City Volunteer Manager include:
Support the delivery of the volunteer program by developing and implementing engagement, recruitment, training, and operational plans in each host city.
Assist in executing marketing and communications plans, aligning local initiatives with FIFA's volunteer recruitment and community engagement strategy.
Coordinate with local stakeholders and host city leads to implement and execute the volunteer program.
Work with various FIFA departments and external stakeholders to understand and support specific volunteer needs in each city.
Lead the operation of the city volunteer center for recruitment, training, uniforms, accreditation, and tournament requirements.
Develop and implement training plans to equip volunteers with the necessary skills for their tasks.
Manage and resolve any volunteer-related issues or conflicts professionally, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Analyze volunteer performance data to identify improvement areas and implement strategies. Ensure compliance with laws and policies and prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
Fluent in English and Spanish.
At least three years of experience in events / volunteer management or project management, ideally international mass events.
Ability to create, engage, and foster productive working relationships with local authorities and volunteer groups, work effectively under pressure, and operate both independently and within a dynamic, cross-functional team structure.
Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education.
