Sitting within the Operations Department (alongside Fan Operations, Venue Management, Team Services, Media Operations, Broadcast Operations, Catering Operations and Competition Management), Dressing and Signage aims to deliver the most outstanding look and feel project in event history.  
  
Reporting to the Head of Dressing and Signage and the Executive Director for Stadium & Venue Management with day-to-day oversight from the Senior Dressing and Signage Manager, the Non-Competiton Venues Dressing and Signage Cluster Manager - Mexico will be a fundamental member of the team responsible for delivering the Dressing and Signage project for the FIFA World Cup 2026.  
 
Non-competition venues are crucial to the successful delivery of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and below is a non exhaustive list of the broad range of venues that the successful candidate may be responsible throughout Mexico: 
 
  • Team Base Camp Training Sites 
  • Team Base Camp Hotels 
  • VIP Hotels 
  • Accreditation Centers 
  • Ticketing Centers 
  • Volunteer Centers 
  • Airports 
  • Outside Presentation Facility (OPF) 
  • Main Operations Center (MOC) 
  
The successful candidate will be responsible for directly overseeing the dressing and signage planning and implementation at all FIFA World Cup 2026 non-competition venues throughout Mexico. They will ensure that key project deliverables and deadlines are met within their cluster and will be required to input into strategic project decisions taken by senior members of the team. They will oversee contracted provider operations within their cluster, ensuring that all are managed successfully and efficiently while monitoring budgetary spend within agreed limits. They will ensure that precedents and strategic directives from the Head of Dressing and Signage and Senior Dressing and Signage Manager are followed as required by the members of the team. The role will collaborate closely with the wider Dressing and Signage team to maximise creativity and ensure consistency across all non-competition venues..  
 
There will also be a potential need to relocate for upto three months during tournament time to a specific venue or region. 
  
The main responsibilities of the Non-Competition Venue Dressing and Signage Cluster Manager for the FIFA World Cup 2026 include:  
  • Contributing to the delivery of a world class dressing and signage project for all target groups who require the services of non-competition venues at the FIFA World Cup 2026. 
  • Overseeing the turnkey planning and delivery of non-competition venue dressing and signage across Mexico. 
  • Collaborating with the other Non-Competition Venue Dressing and Signage Cluster Managers and ensuring that precedents are followed to guarantee consistency across all tournament official sites.  
  • Working closely with the Stadium Dressing Cluster Managers and the Wayfinding and Signage Cluster Managers as well as other Functional Area Managers, to maximise efficiencies within the Cluster and across the wider project.  
  • Oversight of contracted provider planning, production and implementation for all non-competiton venues within allocated cluster. 
  • Constant monitoring of the budgetary impact of dressing and signage operations and reporting updates into the Senior Manager and Head of Department regularly.  
  • Providing strategic input into the non-competition venue dressing planning process and offering expertise when required.  
  • Adhering to project deadlines and deliverables as instructed by senior members of the department.  
  • Daily liaison with other members of the wider Dressing and Signage team to ensure efficient planning and delivery is optimised at all stages of the project.  
  • Liaising with non-competition owners and operators as required to gain approval on implementation plans.  
  • Presenting to senior team members, management and other FIFA World Cup 2026 functional areas as and when required.  
  • Attending domestic and if required, international, department-specific and organisation site visits at assigned stadiums and other stadiums or official sites.  
  • Inputting into the site-specific dressing and wayfinding signage strategies utilising expertise from previous events and directives from management.  
  • Acting as the non-competition venues point of contact for Dressing and Signage Venue Managers and other Functional Area Venue Managers within the assigned cluster during the implementation phase of the project.  
  • Participating in the creative design process for the non-competiton venues within the assigned cluster.  
  • Assisting with the recruitment of Dressing and Signage project team members in collaboration with the senior department leads if required.  
  • Ensuring the needs of internal FIFA functional areas are captured and delivered against within the assigned cluster.  
  • Contribution to project management and knowledge management initiatives including event debriefs, and knowledge capture and documentation activities.  

THE POSITION
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum 2 years of tangible experience in delivering dressing, look, branding or wayfinding signage projects for events of a similar scale to FIFA World Cup 2026 (e.g. previous FIFA World Cups, Olympic Games etc.) or a minimum 4 years experience managing major sports events. 
  • A comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of delivering dressing and signage projects (i.e. production methods, installation techniques, materials etc.)  
  • Budget management experience on complex and multi-faceted events and projects.  
  • Experience in managing technical providers of services for world-class events or projects.  
  • Knowledge of event planning, requirements and event project management processes for large sporting events.  
  • Experience in the development and integration of operational plans.  
  • Significant Stakeholder Management experience across multiple organisations and departments.
